It takes a lot for a designer to "wow" me, but Bagitarian has done it. I stumbled upon their Etsy page, and then spent the follwing half hour emailing friends and family the links to bags I had fallen in love with.
Bagitarian specializes in a collection of classic vintage-inspired purses that can be purchased in any number of colorful designs and patterns. Imagine the snap purse your grandma had, but updated for the fashion forward woman of 2010.
All too often designers who go for vintage-inspired looks end up missing the mark. It either looks dated, or ratty, or just plain bad. Bagitarian has taken the classic elements of the snap purse of the 40s and 50s and kept the best elements while putting a modern spin on it. I love the use of vibrant, bright colors. Even the vintage-esque patterns have a modern feel.
I'm a total fan. Any of these bags would be a wonderful addition to your wardrobe! And there are so many different bags that everyone can find something that fits their style. Photos of some of my favorite bags from the site are below.
